Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jörg Imran Schröter is Head of the Institute for Islamic Theology/Religious Education at the University of Education Karlsruhe. Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jörg Imran Schröter is a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Human Sciences at the University of Education Karlsruhe, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Islamkolleg Deutschland e.V., the Christian-Islamic Society in Freiburg e.V., the German Society for Islamic Theological Studies (DEGITS), the Scientific Commission on Christianity - Islam at the Archdiocese of Freiburg and also participates in expert discussions on the further development of Islamic religious education with the Religious Affairs Unit at the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, with the Minister President and representatives of the Ministry of State of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In the context of current debates on Islam in Germany, Mr. Schröter deals with the Islamic religiosity of Muslim youth and young adults and their willingness to engage socially in a pluralistic society.
